I was exposed to Mustard Gas while doing work for the US gov shortly afterwards I was fired I have been hiding my problems for 9 yrs
I have not been diagnosed I lead everyone in my life believe that I had recurring drug problem it just seemed easier
That sounds like an incredibly heavy burden to carry alone for 9 years. Hiding something so significant takes a real toll, and it makes sense that you found a way to cope β even if it meant letting people believe something that wasn't the full truth.
